The Tinteán Theatre Mission is to operate a purpose built performance venue with contemporary Irish dance as its core and tourism as its primary audience market.

Welcome to the Tinteán Theatre, Arts and Cultural Centre is the National Traditional Theatre of Ireland, based in Ballybunion, County Kerry. The Theatre is the “Home” of the North Kerry, in Ballybunion at the mouth of the River Shannon. The Theatre is famous for its Arts, Cultural and Heritage Society which tours nationally and internationally with its traditional Irish dance productions.

Productions and Performance

The Tinteán Theatre presents productions in all performance genres both from in-house and touring theatre companies. The theatre also has a cinema facility, art exhibition spaces, literary bookshop, bar and coffee dock. A stage school, art-house cinema club and themed week-ends feature at the venue. The Tinteán Theatre also caters for conferences and arranges accommodation packages for delegates.
